Product Description

Pushing the boundaries of what fans have come to expect from the record-setting entertainment franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops II propels players into a near future, 21st Century Cold War, where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare.

Futuristic missions give you new weapons and scenarios to get to grips with
The CLAW is a Cognitive Land Assault Weapon that can be utilised as an in-game vehicle
Call of Duty: Black Ops II--now with more added zombies
Attacks come from land and sky with the new quadrotor guns

Combining incredible high-dynamic range graphics and sensational new gameplay, Black Ops II sets you off on secret operations as Frank Woods – the protagonist from the original Black Ops game.

The non-linear storyline will see you battling during a futuristic Cold War, as well as tackling flashbacks from historical missions and playing as various members of the Mason family. Every decision you make during this story will affect future consequences, giving you a different experience every time you play.

With new futuristic weapons, the chance to master a number of different vehicles and modes of transport, and a mysterious villain - known simply as Raul Menendez - Black Ops II is set to be the ultimate Call of Duty game.

game itself is pretty good but get the standard edition, do not make the mistake i did and get this you are literally throwing your money away.
Comes in a massive box but the only physical extras are 2 small medals, the rest are just a few avatar items and emblem skins which come in just a list of codes on a slip of paper.
the main bonuses are the nuketown 2025 and nuketown zombies maps which are what i bought this version for.
Big mistake.
The nuketown 2025 map comes with all launch copies anyway and the zombies map you get with the DLC Season Pass which most will get to save a bit on the DLC so that makes this hardened edition £20 extra for a couple of skins.

So I ordered this back in september and i did so because of the Nuketown zombies map.

I thought an extra 20 or so quid for an exclusive zombies map was worth it! well guess what they anounced 1 day before release, THE NUKETOWN ZOMBIES MAP IS NOW AVAILABLE WITH THE SEASON PASS IN DECEMBER.

So I paid the extra 20 quid for that map which I could of used towards the season pass.

My advice would be just buy the regular edition as this is a waste of money.

Well it has been out for nearly a year now and I have had this since day 1. I have long been a fan a fan of CoD games and own all since CoD4 with all the DLC too. However I was disappointed with MW3 and wasn't sure quite what to expect from Black Ops 2. I know people complain that the 'engine' is old but it h=appears to be completely overhauled and graphically it is the best looking CoD game to date. It runs smoothly and plays just as well and quickly as ANY FPS game available.

The campaign has gone from being a linear cinematic experience with decisions affecting the storyline - thus given it more replayability but still retains that cinematic experience. It is still quite linear in some respects but it certainly adds something extra that we have been asking for...

MP is Great - I have clocked up nearly 500 hours playing it (that is value for money... not many games have given me that many hours worth of play time) The Guns feel good, kill time is what you would expect from a fast paced shooter and I love the fact that Death Streaks are now gone. Why reward players for dying that many times!! Maps are good but in all honesty the best maps are on the DLC. There is more interactivity on these maps too with different things happening and they are all seem to play well - even the ones I am not so keen on. They have even given us some 'old' favourites with a make over (Nuke town, Firing range, Summit etc.. but all of these are on the DLC - except nuketown) - certanly the best MP in my opinion and that includes the excellent CoD4

Not only do we have those 2 parts we also have Zombies!!! This is awesome and probably worth buying for this alone! Especially if you get the DLC maps too.

The Call of Duty franchise is the most popular game series ever. Since Modern Warfare 2, however, there have been greater and greater criticisms of each following game (yet the numbers purchased increase year-on-year) and most of these are justifiable.

Black Ops 2 continues with the same three modes: Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies.

The BO2 campaign is woeful; one of the few campaigns I have ever played in a shooter which totally left me bored. The "Strike Force" missions especially felt like the game was trying to be something it was not, it is a shooter not a strategy game and it should remain that way.

The Zombies sections has a huge amount to live up to. The Zombies maps released so far (including Die Rise) are all pretty fun but none have them have so far been able to reproduce the sheer replay ability of Kino Der Toten or Five. Furthermore, there are few new features in the games (think back to Call of the Dead, Shangri-La and Moon!). The "Green Run" is a nice touch but Tranzit soon becomes tiresome and the bank feature serves to make the game far too easy. Furthermore, the game results in you staying in a tiny fraction of the map because its not worth your while to wonder around in the fog. The Easter Egg also remains disappointing although there are hints it will be expanded further with future DLCs. Nuketown zombies and Die Rise are equally disappointing.

The multiplayer is very playable and I have spent a lot of time on it; however, it is not quite as good as Black Ops. While League Play has incredible potential, it doesn't work perfectly.

I purchased the hardened edition mainly because of the Nuketown Zombies map exclusive.

1 day before release, I find out that I could have purchased the normal game and just paid £30 for the season pass and get the Nuketown Zombies included.

Now I have paid £70 and need to buy the £30 season pass for DLC, when I could have paid £40 and then buy the season pass.

All in all, if you buy the Hardened Edition, you are paying £20 for avatar items and a sountrack... and a box

FIRST DO NOT PAY THE HARDENED IT NOT WORTH THE £80 YOU DON,T GET A LOT IN IT LIKE OTHER GAMES

STORY
THE STORY STARTS WHERE BLACK OPTS ENDED YOU PLAY AS ALEX MASON FROM THE FIRST ONE AND HIS SON DAVID MASON THE GAME AS SOME OLD FRIENDS BACK LIKE HUDSON AND WOODS
THE YEARS IS 2025 AND NOW ROBOTS ARE NOW THE ARMY THERE ARE SOME FLASHBACKS IN THE GAME BUT NOT A LOT WHICH IS A GOOD THING.THIS TIME AROUND THERE ARE CHOICES LIKE SAVE OR KILL WHICH CHANGES THE ENDING WHAT EVER YOU DO IN THE STORY WILL CHANGE THE ENDING SO I WATCHED ON YOUTUBE THERE ABOUT 7 ENDINGS. FROM START TO FINISH THE STORY PULLS YOU IN BY THE END YOU WILL FEEL SORRY FOR SOME OF THEM.

ZOMBIES
ZOMBIES IS GREAT THERE 3 ZONES TO PICK FROM AND 3 MODES THERE TRANZIST WHERE YOU VISIT ALL OF THEM SURVIVAL SAME AS BEFORE WAVE AFTER WAVE OF ZOMBIES AND GRIEF WHERE IT 8 PLAYER 4V4 YOU ON TEAMS TRYING TO BEAT THE OTHER TREAM WHILE HAVING ZOMBIES TRYING TO KILL YOU

MUTIPLAYER

THERE NEW MAPS NEW WEAPONS AND A NEW WAY TO CUSTOM YOUR CLASS YOU CAN PUT SKINS ON WEAPONS AND KNIFES AND YOU HAVE 10 THINGS TO PUT ON EACH CLASS
IT NOT AS GOOD AS MW3 MUTIPLAYER BUT IT A GOOD TRY
