Avoid at all costs - disgraceful customer service!,

I bought these skates for my sons 7th birthday and unfortunately the company sent us the wrong size. We called Kates Skates to discuss the problem and they would not accept that they had sent the wrong size. They claimed that the labelling of the box and on the boot was incorrect and that the boot was infact the correct size. This is absolute nonsense and we can quite clearly see that the skates are far too big and understand the dirrerences between UK, US and EU sizes. After 4 emails with Kate's Skates they still refuse to admit that they are wrong! The cost of returning the skates from Jersey will be half the cost of the skates and at MY cost - what is this all about? I am left with a son with roller skates that he can't use and a company that refuses to accept responsibility for their mistake. Avoid this company at all costs because when there is a mistake they will do NOTHING to help. Arrogant customer service and a disgrace of a company!

I got these skates for my daughter,she chose the black and red.She is five and absolutely loves them.The build quality is very good,as is the liner,buckles and wheels. The fact that the skates will extend mean she will be using them for quite a while. As a family we skate alot,and i am expecting these to last the distance,and probably be pasted down to my niece, I would recommend these skates to anyone,they are very good.

Great skates for first timers! Sturdy and robust. The wheels aren't 'sticky' and flow nicely. My daughter has had them on her feet constantly since she got them. The fact that they're adjustable is a bonus!
