My husband, myself, and my six month old all use this as our daily shampoo, face wash (except the baby), and body wash. We all have very sensitive skin. None of us get irritated skin from any California Baby product.
Pros
I used to get occasional break outs, but not anymore. (I also use the Diaper Area Wash as a toner and the Super Sensitive Lotion as my moisturizer).
It keeps our skin soft.
My daughter no longer gets baby acne (diagnosed by her NP) on her scalp.
Cons
I don't much care for the smell, but it works so well that I don't let it bother me.
Update:
There are several things I forgot to mention about this product:
-It DOES lather (as do their bubble baths and other shampoos)! Just make sure your child's hair (or yours) is completely wet all the way through, get your hands slightly damp, and lather IN YOUR HANDS before putting it on your child's (or your own) scalp. This works great for us.
-My daughter's skin is soft, baby acne free, and eczema free! We only use California Baby products on her skin.
-I don't think I stressed just how sensitive our family, especially my baby, is when it comes to hygiene products. My daughter is allergic to almost everything I've ever tried on her. She (nor my husband or myself) has NEVER had a bad reaction to any California Baby product.
-I had issues with hair loss after I had my daughter! I have heard this is a common issue for new moms. I would have collected a condensed ball of hair the size of a ping pong ball after showering and another ball of hair 1/2-2/3 that size after combing my wet hair. I noticed a difference immediately when I started using this shampoo (and the Calendula conditioner). I now only lose 20-30 total hairs in a day! That's nuts. I was "shedding" more than that before I had my daughter.
-This shampoo is also great for dandruff and dry scalp. However, I do recommend using the California Baby Tea Tree and Lavender shampoo once a week to remove any impurities.
