5.0 out of 5 stars Great souvenir of a fantastic film, 29 Sep 2005
By A Customer
This review is from: Calendar Girls: 2004 (Spiral-bound)
A classic case of, " I loved the film so much, I went out and bought the calendar " Though the calendar is from 2004, I want to keep it as a collectors item and rotate the pictures to cheer me up . What an inspiration the ladies are.

From a professional geriatric care manager:
This is so empowering for older women! Women in later life are viewed as physically unattractive and culturally useless. These poses prove that what is not shown can be enticing. Their additional years of experience add to their sexuality, and the sales of the calendar prove their cultural worth. I'm ordering a calendar for every older adult facility near me!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Power of Love, 3 Feb 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Calendar Girls: 2004 (Spiral-bound)
I ordered this item for my mother in celebration of a tradition she and her women friends celebrate every winter solstice. They are all middle aged and find so much joy in dancing naked together in the moonlight of the winter night. Recently one of the women who partook in this event passed away from cancer and when my mother and I saw this movie she was reminded of her friend. I purchased this because it reminded my mom of the beauty all women posses and it reminds her of Judith.
