After looking for a mini fridge that didn't sound like a spaceship landing, and holds both food and drink, my search led me to this marvellous fridge. I previously owned a 'drinks only' Husky 40 litre mini fridge, which was not exactly ideal for my bedroom, as it affected my ability to sleep where I was awoken on many occasions to hear its great whoosh of sound, comparable to that of rocket thrusters (OK, maybe not that loud, but annoyingly loud nonetheless). It was the only good value mini fridge available at the time, as silent fridges were very expensive. I was thinking of buying this Caldura Silent Mini Fridge for a while, but was sceptical of how silent it would really be. Well, my worries were soon diminished, as this mini fridge is absolutely SILENT, in fact I didn't think it was working at first, only to find 3 hours later my drinks were ICE COLD! Wonderful! I've now got it stuffed with Pepsi cans, Corona, and Yoghurts.
Looks wise, this Caldura Mini fridge holds both food and drink, so it's windowless (although the glass door mini bar version is available for drinks only), and sports a black matte finish with black glossy handles. Externally, It may not look quite as good as my old Husky mini fridge, which had a black glossy finish and chrome handles, but it certainly doesn't look out of place in my bedroom, and is the perfect size. Internally, This Caldura is excellent (much better than the Husky), it's finished in white with a true white LED light that turns on automatically when the fridge is opened, and layout that's perfect.
Overall, If you're looking to buy a mini fridge for your bedroom, office, or elsewhere, that holds both food and drink, looks good, and is perfectly silent, then I highly recommend these Caldura Silent Mini Fridges. They are excellent value for money and far better than those awfully noisy mini fridges like the Husky.

Great fridge, nice and cold, plenty of space for a few cans of drink and some food. Can't fit a 2L bottle in there, but will try and grab a smaller one and see how we go.
The only issue is the clunk noise from the solenoid when it starts cooling. It's infrequent and I can deal with it, but is kind of annoying when you're trying to get to sleep.
The fridge looks good and the convinience is great!

Bought this on amazon as I wanted a place to store beer, cider and snacks. I wanted to relax knowing that I can wake up and all my bloody drink will still be there and better yet it wont have been drunk by everyone but me! This fridge rocks. Plenty of room to store bits n bobs. I find I have restock it a lot but as I drink beer new beer is put in and will be cold shortly afterward. The fridge cools very quickly and the design is very classy. I was tempted to get something less...black and bold but I can happily say I am pleased with my final decision. It barely makes a single noise too. If I wake up grumpy I can have chilled water its awesome!
I think its only downside is that it has made my life too easy and I have become a hermit. Now I have less reasons to leave the room (except to buy beer and pretzels). Me thinks if you're buying this for your geek dorm best get a treadmill or a gym membership.

Recently purchased as an additional drinks fridge. So far does all we expected, and of course is totally silent. Is small though!
