in french 18 April 2009
Format:Paperback
well as comic strip in french this is one of the best with adventure and humour ,but you have to consider that the original text is in french and with the translation no matter how good it is you ll lose of the idiomatic french joke ...it s like reading andy cap or charlie brown in french ,there s joke you simply can t translate because of the difference in culture ...havin sayin that i m almost sure you ll enjoy most of the story and the action and some joke visual or some non sense like when the dalton evade from jail they dig 4 holes instead of one (because they re a bit thick averell beeing the dumbest and joe the meanest) at least the graphic is great and i remember my childhood copying lucky luke and the dalton and jolly jumper , calamity jane is a legend of the western and along the stories some real fact emerge so it s kind of educationnal as well you can read it as the age of 7 then read it again as an adult and finding new joke and stuff you didn t get when you were a child well just enjoy the story
