A police chief (Eric Portman) stationed in Egypt sets out to crack down on drug traffickers along the frontiers. With his assistant (Laurence Harvey), he attempts to block the smugglers' passage along the notorious Cairo Road route into the country.
This film, released in 1950, marked yet another fine performance from Eric Portman and marked the debut of Laurence Harvey who went on to become a major star. The storyline concerning drug running in the Middle East is as relevant today as it was then.
Ironically the film was a second feature when it went on general release.
