Cagney & Lacey DVD Volume 1,
This review is from: Cagney & Lacey [DVD] [1982] (DVD)
I though this was an excellent DVD box set, and cant wait until they release all the volumes; I will definitely be purchasing them, they made over 100 episodes of the series. Sharon Gless and Tyne Daily are brillant in the cop roles, the show still sparkles even today (2005) as it did back in the 80s, it still is much better than some of the programmes on tv today! and has good plots, comedy and style!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please, please release more volumes soon!!!!!!!!!!Amanda

Classic 80s police drama...,
This review is from: Cagney & Lacey [DVD] [1982] (DVD)
I was absolutely thrilled to see the release of this 2DVD set. To say the least the legacy of American police drama "Cagney and Lacey" was an impressive one! It ran for the US network CBS from 1982-88. The show during its time drew critical acclaim and controversy, establishing a substantial audience of fiercely loyal viewers who, on at least one occasion, helped save the program from cancellation by the network! This release focuses on classic episodes from the second season, original broadcast dates included below: 25-Oct-1982 Witness to An Incident The above episodes star some of the shows long-running cast: Sharon Gless [Det. Chris Cagney], Tyne Daly [Det. Mary Beth Lacey], Al Waxman [Lt. Bert Samuels], Carl Lumbly [Det. Mark Petrie], Martin Kove [Det. Victor Isbecki], Sidney Clute [Det. Paul La Guardia], John Karlen [Harvey Lacey]. It was a late-night, ratings winner in England for BBCtv and this release, boasting superb picture and sound is worth every penny...classic police, thriller, drama!!
