Amazon.com: 2 reviews
Addresses some of my issues 8 May 2012
By ChibiNeko - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
If you've read my previous review, then you know that I had some issues with the idea of a group of adults blindly following a young girl. (Or maybe you raised an eyebrow at that as well?) In any case, they do deal with this in volume four, and I'm glad for it. It's rounded up a little swiftly, but that's because there's a bigger issue at hand here: Arita Kouhei.

Yes, we have our teams meeting up for the first time since the crash and the scattering of all of the teenagers. Obviously I can't divulge everything here, but Kouhei's group has taken a rather nasty and bloody turn for the worst. It's actually a rather interesting turn of events, as it helps set up a bigger overlying arc for the series and hints at what the potential for insanity is.

Art-wise, I'll admit that I'm getting tired of the fanservice. It's still the type of fanservice where it's worked into the story well, but the thing is... it doesn't need it. The girls are cute enough and the story is good enough that it just sort of feels superfluous. Anywho, the artwork is still pretty nice and I love the attention to detail. It's part of why this series works so well.

If you've been liking the previous volumes, you'll enjoy this one as well.
But it is still a great example of a well thought out manga story 1 Aug. 2014

I would give this five stars if it had been available in a well-made Hardcover omnibus edition, perhaps fully colorized. But it is still a great example of a well thought out manga story.
