Product Description

The Ecofan is a heat powered stove fan designed to circulate the air created by a wood or gas stove. The Ecofan has a thermoelectric module which acts as a small generator to power the fan's motor. For more than a decade now, wood stove owners have been luxuriating in the heat and comfort generated by their Ecofans.

Ecofans are made from anodised aluminium that will not rust. Bi-metal strips in the base help prevent the fan from overheating.

The Ecofan UltrAir model is suitable for use on wood or gas stoves, operating with normal surface temperatures of between 65 degrees C and 345 degrees C. It generates up to 100 cubic feet (of air) per minute.

Fuel Saving
Testing carried out in collaboration with a leading Canadian university has proven that using an Ecofan results in fuel and emissions savings of up to 14%.

No Fuss Operation
The Ecofan UltrAir starts automatically and adjusts its speed with the stove temperature. As the stove heats up, the Ecofan runs faster to move more warm air into the room. As the stove burns down and cools, the Ecofan automatically shuts off.

Costs Nothing to Operate
Using only the heat from the stove, the Ecofan is the most economical way to effectively circulate warm air. No cords, plugs or batteries are required.

Unique Blade Design
The unique Ecofan blade is designed to deliver a broad cross section of gentle air movement to avoid uncomfortable draughts. The UltrAir blade is our most efficient blade yet, moving more air at a wider range of stove temperatures.

Dimensions:- Base 121x76mm (4.75x3"). Height 223mm (8.75") - from base to top, excluding handle. Blade diameter 200mm (8")

Placement of the Ecofan on the stove top is critical. Be sure to position the Ecofan on the stove top so that cool air will be drawn over the cooling fins.

5.0 out of 5 stars Caframo Ecofan 810 Ultrair Black Blade 8 Nov 2012

Excellent product; Completely inaudible but what a difference in propelling trapped hot air above our Charnwood C4 woodburner into the room despite the fairly low slung fire surround. It just fitted in the space thanks to its compact size as our fireplace is quite small being just 547mm wide. Thankfully the height from the top of the C4 to the register plate allowed it to fit.

3.0 out of 5 stars is it worth 90+ pounds - no 21 Jan 2014

It is difficult to know if its doing anything useful, when its going at its fastest it just about makes a thin piece of paper flutter when about 2 inches from the blade, my honest opinion is that it is not adding anything to the heat in the room

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant 20 Mar 2013
By REllis
This fan has transformed the heat output of my Clearview 400 stove, fitted in a recess. Heat really comes out into the room, and the brickwork around the stove and the lintel above it doesn't get anywhere as hot. A must for any stove. Almost silent.

1.0 out of 5 stars Sadly I wasted my money. 16 Nov 2013
I found it usleless. It does not appear to move hot air at all as claimed. A powered fan or a fan heater operating in cold mode I found is very effective and will move the hot air and sets up a room airflow you can feel. This fan spins away and nothing can be felt to move or seen to move. Paper strips placed in front of it or behind it when it is spinning rapidly simply stay motionless.
I have noticed no difference in the temperature of the rof and sides of the alcove in which my Clearview stove is installed using this fan that is my experience. It spins silently and is a feature but useless.

Well made, works perfectly & arrived as expected - be careful with the clearance above your stove - this smaller version was just right for us.
