The Ecofan is a heat powered stove fan designed to circulate the air created by a wood or gas stove. The Ecofan has a thermoelectric module which acts as a small generator to power the fan's motor.
For more than a decade now, wood stove owners have been luxuriating in the heat and comfort generated by their Ecofans.
Ecofans are made from anodised aluminium that will not rust. Bi-metal strips in the base help prevent the fan from overheating.
The Ecofan UltrAir model is suitable for use on wood or gas stoves, operating with normal surface temperatures of between
65 degrees C and 345 degrees C. It generates up to 100 cubic feet (of air) per minute.
Testing carried out in collaboration with a leading Canadian university has
proven that using an Ecofan results in fuel and emissions savings of up to 14%.
No Fuss Operation
The Ecofan UltrAir starts automatically and adjusts its speed with the stove
temperature. As the stove heats up, the Ecofan runs faster to move more warm air
into the room. As the stove burns down and cools, the Ecofan automatically shuts
Costs Nothing to Operate
Using only the heat from the stove, the Ecofan is the most economical way to
effectively circulate warm air. No cords, plugs or batteries are required.
Unique Blade Design
The unique Ecofan blade is designed to deliver a broad cross section of gentle
air movement to avoid uncomfortable draughts. The UltrAir blade is our most
efficient blade yet, moving more air at a wider range of stove temperatures.
Dimensions:- Base 121x76mm (4.75x3"). Height 223mm (8.75") - from base to
top, excluding handle. Blade diameter 200mm (8")
Placement of the Ecofan on the stove top is critical. Be sure to position the
Ecofan on the stove top so that cool air will be drawn over the cooling fins.
