This is a super little book with truly authentic recipes for little bites to have with your morning or afternoon coffee. There is a concise but informative introduction on Italian coffee culture & etiquette, making coffee at home and a very good description of what exactly different coffee types, such as caffé lungo, caffé macchiato & so forth actually consist of. Then there are recipe sections on:
A) cookies & biscotti
B) little pastries
C) cakes & tarts
D) savoury tarts
So far I have made Tuscan soft almond cookies (Ricciarelli) absolutely delicious, & almond & pistachio cake (torta alle mandorle e pistacchi) moist & moreish. I have been transported back to bustling Florence & the Amalfi coast in my own home. If you love coffee or own a coffee machine this book is for you.

Tasty, delicious recipies, for example: toasted hazelnut florentines,caramel almond cookies,coffe & chocolate tart or buttery jam tarts among others no less wonderful recipies , additionally there is a savoury too.I ve done mandorle & pistachio cake and all I can say is a delicious , amazing cake!!!
straightforward recipe and little time consuming!This book is absolutely fab!
Do not expect a lot of recipies but the ones in here are of unforgettable taste and quality.

very satisfied with the purchase : ))
ps I have to add, after trying another couple of recipies my love for this book grew even stronger ; ), the recipies are very simple no time consuming and all the ingredients are very accurate!I do however add a bit less sugar than prescribed in these recipies and the cakes are still delicious and success with my friends and family : )

This book is a classic.

Photography is excellent throughout and recipes are both easy to follow and more importantly WORK.

I'd recommend this to anyone looking to produce some fantastic home baked biscuits and deserts.

You won't be disappointed.
