I was fed up with breaking the glass beaker of my coffee pot, and spending £5 each time for a replacement. A plastic beaker seemed like a great idea, and I have no doubt that it is durable. But the filter plunger fell apart after 2 weeks use! Unlike most plungers this is bonded plastic, and cannot be screwed back together. I'm still looking for a durable cafetiere.
