I have been looking for a cable knitting book for ages and when the one I orignally wanted would of taken over a month to come I decided on ordering this one instead. I am so glad I did.

It covers the cable basics including information on chart reading and materials and then goes on to show 20 lovely patterns raging from simple to expert. There are some great jumpers for both men and woman, afgans, scarfs and even a pattern for a great little bag.

The book finishes with a cable stitch dictionary with the examples clearly shown.

I love this book, it has everything you could ever want in a cable book and I would recomend it to everyone.

I needed a cable reference book for a design project, and I was thinking of getting Vogue Knitting Stitchionary: Cables v. 2 but I was put off with by the reviews saying that the book contained numerous errors.

I'm very happy with this book as a reference book. The reason I give it 4 rather than 5 stars is because I don't really like the patters, and I would prefer the space the occupy to be more cable patterns!

It's a lovely book, very well presented with big puctures of every pattern, written instructions and charts.

I saw this book in a library in a knitting shop and just had to have a copy. I love knitting cables and it has some lovely projects in it as well as a stich dictionary from which I've designed my own cushions. Easy to follow instruction.

All the cable designs (and there are some nice ones) were on charts. Usually you get both chart and written instructions. If like me you don't like charted designs avoid.
