Montserrat Caballe was one of the greatest sopranos of the 20th century, noted for her superb ability to delicately float a line of music, her purity of tone, and the warmth with which she invested her roles. As an exponent of Bel Canto, along with the late Joan Sutherland and Marliyn Horne, she is without peer in that repertoire. This retrospective film is a delight, revealing numerous details about the diva's career and life. Consistently, she is gracious and revealing. The musical clip are fascinating. This is a fine tribute to Mme. Caballe. Recommended.
