An interesting read,

This review is from: CSS Artistry: A Web Design Master Class (Voices That Matter) (DVD-ROM)
I really do like this book/DVD, it is not a book that you keep by your side for reference (such as the CSS the missing manual) but it is one that you do keep coming back to all the same. Andy Clarke really does know his stuff and he makes you question how and why you have structured your web pages the way you have, it really does explain the importance of semantic mark up and how you can achieve it.
Andy is a real arty person which can sometime make him seem a bit cheesey on the DVD and although the DVD is OK it adds only a little extra to the book yet I am glad I got the book/DVD set than just the book alone. It is not however a good introduction to CSS (well it is called the master class after all) but a fantastic introduction to creating good CSS once you have mastered the basics, for me it is a great companion to CSS the missing manual that should take you to the next level.

Managing creative process on web design,
By Alvaro Gonzalez Fernandez "Software Developer" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: CSS Artistry: A Web Design Master Class (Voices That Matter) (DVD-ROM)
This book is not a css book. This book is a guide of which steps you should do when you design a web site. Andy will give you very useful advices:
- First thing the content and then design layout - Follow standards. When and why. - Create one markup and many designs through css - shows you which html elements will be more useful in different situations. - How to manage different navigation software and versions. - Semantic content. Micro formats I really like it. It's well written and very good edited. The only drawback it's that dvd content and book content it's very similar so probably spend 20$ more in the pack (book + dvd) maybe is not interesting thing. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful:

CSS Artistry = Mastering core and advance knowledge of CSS,
By Lucas Glib - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: CSS Artistry: A Web Design Master Class (Voices That Matter) (DVD-ROM)
CSS Artistry brings fresh ideas on how to write pages and tries to point out the idea of semantic web. I believe that is the way to go in the future. Andy gives very nice ideas and guide how to achieve that. DVD also talks about box model and inheritance. Thanks to this DVD I understood what relative really means and how cascading works. Lucas
