We bought this sender set to be able to watch Sky on a small Toshiba TV in our study fed by our Sky second room box in the bedroom next door.
Setup was easy - you plug the supplied SCART sockets into both the back of the Sky box (transmitter) and the rear of the host TV (receiver). The SCART plugs are "pass through" types so you don't actually use another socket - the existing SCART plugs simply plug back into the rear of the new (Digisender) plugs. You also need to position the remote "magic eyes" in front of the Sky box and host TV. You then plug in the transmitter and receiver to the mains, switch on and select the best out of 5 channels.
The picture quality we obtained was very good. Two points though; the position of the small aerials on the transmitter and receiver (similar to those on a PC router) are critical to getting a stable picture which is immune to people moving about etc. and, through trial and error, this was achieved. Secondly, the positioning of the remote eyes is crucial to get them working, in particular, the one in front of the Sky box must be positioned and orientated correctly - once this is done you will have complete control over the channel etc. on the remote TV.
One thing you will probably need to buy is a second Sky or other remote depending on the source you are using, otherwise, you will have to move the remote from room to room. I suggest you do this after the Digisender is installed as, if for any reason, the Digisender isn't suitable for your location you will also have to send the second remote back too.
This sender package uses the 5.8GHZ band which should not interfere with most current wireless networks (although a few top end systems now use 5.8GHZ). It works well in our location, although, my understanding is that senders are very sensitive to their location and the construction of buildings etc. and your should bear this in mind - you may be unlucky.
Overall, we are very pleased with the picture quality and control afforded by this sender. Recommended.
