I am presently investing in CNC machine tools for my company. The work force have little or no CNC experience. The book is helping myself, along with my staff to become more aware of the benefits of multi axis machining. The book & disc have helped with methods of calculations and programming techniques. The chapter on helical milling & thread milling has been very useful. These particular processes have helped to make the company more competitive and versatile. We have been able to quote for work that normally would have been turned down.
The company's investment in the book "CNC PROGRAMMING HANDBOOK" has certainly made investing in CNC machine tools more profitable.

I'm a Production Engineer, and I spend a fair bit of my time programming various CNC machines, and I'm finding this book pretty indispensable.

This is the only comprehensive guide to CNC programming I've come across, and I refer to it most weeks, if not days. Instead of wading through a badly-translated-from-the-Japanese manual that came with the machine, I have all the info I need in one place, complete with warnings about the 'gotcha's that can catch you out, the indiosyncratic variations between controls, and checklist summaries so I can be sure I've missed nothing out.

This book is ideal for the beginner at CNC programming, and still incredibly useful for those 'what exactly does a G28 do again?' moments for the more experienced. It's also my main point of reference when training up our operators - too often you remeber the 'how' but forget the 'why' of doing things a particular way, and this book really helps answer some of the more random questions I'm asked!

The only (pathetically) minor point would be it would be nice to see a mention of other CNC controls like Mazatrol or Siemens to highlight the differences in their use.
