Amazon Verified Purchase
"Printers has moved on loads in the last few years, this one from HP includes web applications. So for example, you can email it documents to print, or use it to access your on-line photos in Photobucket or Facebook.
I've only had the printer for a couple of days, so here is my first impressions.
Fairly easy to set up (but allow about 30 minutes). I did have difficulty in selecting UK as the country as the list did not seem to scroll (so I selected USA) - managed to correct later once the printer was fully installed.
The touch pad can be a little slow in responding to a touch, so you sometimes need to allow a second for the printer to register it.
Print quality is very good and photo's are outstanding.
I love the fact that the printer can do double sided, when doing double sided, the printer prints one side, the paper half comes out and then the printer pulls the paper back in for the reverse side - all very neat. It has a hopper for photo paper and one for the standard A4, so both can be left loaded.
Build quality of the printer looks good and should last.
I've tried the scanner, once as a photo copier and once to a computer, both worked well.
When scanning to a computer, the printer correctly picked up the fact the I'd installed the software on more than one computer and presented me with a list to choose where to send the scan- I should say that I've connected the printer wirelessly to my home network (no USB cable required).
The printer comes in the glossy black plastic, which matches my PC. No doubt it will attract the dust just as well.
I don't know yet how long the ink cartridges will last, but at least on this model the ink comes in 5 seperate cartridges, so you only need to replace the colurs that are empty.
All in all I'm happy with my purchase and very impressed with the features it provides."

Had the printer a few weeks now, and can report a couple of issues.
1 - It goes offline and cannot re-connect - so it has to be powered off. I've seen on the HP site that this might be due to 64bit Windows 7. I've still not fully resolved this issue, but it's not too hard to turn the power on/off at the mains.
2 - I tried emailing a document to print, this did nothing. Tried to find out the email address again (but could not see how to do that), so registered the printer again with HP, got a new email address for the print, and that worked OK.

I have been using this printer for over a month now and I am very happy with it.
I didn't buy the printer at Amazon, but as an Amazon customer I would like to rate it here anyway.
I am using the printer for my personal documents at home (Letters, Envelopes, personal business cards etc.) and the print quality for my needs is very good.
Compared to my previous printer (Canon MP510) it starts pretty quickly and is ready to use within a minute.
The quality of photo printing is pretty good too. There's a special separate tray for Photo paper (up to 13x18cm) which works fine.
I personally find the colouring of the photos a little too "loud" though, but I am sure that can be solved by changing some settings (which I haven't got round to doing yet). Maybe it's because the printer is still using the setup tanks (!!) which came with the printer.
There's a paper tray for 125 pages of A4 paper. The paper feed works very well. Even envelopes don't cause any trouble, which is a big plus compared to the poor feeds my Canon experienced.
The touch screen is neat and easy to navigate through. One "touch" Photocopying in black or colour works fine.
I connected my printer to my Wi-Fi network without any problems whatsoever. Wireless printing using my Laptop (which is also a HP) works perfect.
Just install the HP printer software on your Laptop (or any other computer you're using at home), make sure Wi-Fi is active, and off you go...
Although this HP printer seems a little louder than my previous (Canon) printer, and some people may find this HP a little too loud, but it's not something that I personally find disturbing. I think a good printer may be heard a little, and this printer is good!
I personally would recommend this printer to anyone who is looking for a neat home-printer.
Everything worked perfectly straight out of the box, so I am giving it 5 stars!

The printer is excellent, setup on my Wifi network very easily and software installed on our home PCs without any issues. The separate photo tray works well and the quality of the prints is very good - takes a little while for the ink to dry, but worth waiting for.
The printer is faster than my old HP PSC2100 that is is replacing, and the duplex works well, slower than single sided as it pauses for a few seconds to allow the ink to dry.
Printer apps are pretty cool, although not sure of the longer use once the novelty wears off.
Works fine printing from an iPhone running IOS4.2.
Printing via email directly to the printer is a bit hit and miss, a few server issues on the HP side, and the font it chooses seem poor. Can't do double sided and unable to cope with being setup as a forward from my own domain - to make the printers email address easy to remember. HP support via the internet is poor. I can't really see a great deal of use for this functionality at the moment, so haven't lowered the review score.
Delivered on time by Amazon, although poorly packaged, the outer cardboard box was far too large for the printer box and as a consequence it was squashed and ripped. Printer fine inside though.

HP Multi-Function Printer
Took a while to set up, but works very nicely. Noisy on start-up but the prints like a dream. All you need in a multi-function printer.
