I bought the CKS Parmesan Grater so I could keep my Parmesan in the grater in the refridgerator.

Unfortunately, although this is what is advertised, it does not live up to this claim. The top of the grater is always open and hence putting the grater in the refridgerator with cheese in it will result in the cheese drying out and losing flavour. There is nothing to seal the top of the grater. Accordingly, each time I use the grater I have to dismantle it and put it through the dishwasher (thankfully I am getting quite quick at this).

Also, the grater is not too good with harder cheeses and tends to break apart into its individual components when extra force is placed on the handle.

As a use-once-and-then-wash grater it is quite good.
