Let me start by saying that this Mortar and Pestle is tiny. 7cm in diameter, and about 4.5cm deep. The pestle itself is 6cm kong.
But don't let it's size put you off.
When making a meal, I can happily grind down a garlic clove, some sesame seeds, chilli flakes, cardimon seeds, sea salt, and black pepper corns. - all of which is more than enough to season/marinade the skin of 3 large chicken breasts.
The material this item is made out of it porcelin. It's glazed on the outside, giving a smooth finish, and left untreated inside, leaving a coarse surface which helps with grinding. It also washes very well and dries easily.
Overall, I'd recommend this product to anyone who wants a mortar and pestle for personal use, but doesn't want to spend a fortune on an expensive marble or granite one.
But don't let it's size put you off.

This is a very small pestle & mortar but I am really pleased with the item. The quality is fantastic and well worth its money. Ample big enough for all our requirements. Delivery was very quick and well packed. Would definately recommend. Very pleased with my purchase. Fits in the cupboard too!!
