This review is for the acrylic cookbook stand. Most of my comments are contained in the accompanying video review, however I have briefly summarised them below.
THINGS THAT I LIKED ABOUT THIS ACRYLIC COOKBOOK STAND:
* Most recipe books can be easily fitted into this stand, from very small books up to large, heavy hardback books; even magazines
* It remains stable, even with a fairly large heavy book placed in it
* The acrylic stand has been moulded in one piece and there are no joins to harbour dirt or germs
* It will easily fit lengthways into a cupboard for storage
* It is a modern and stylish design and does not look out of place if stored permanently on a work surface
* It is easy to wipe down and keep clean
THINGS THAT I WASN'T SO KEEN ON:
* It does scratch easily. This doesn't affect its functionality but if being stored out of the cupboard it does spoil the overall look of it. It would also scratch if you placed it into a dishwasher
* It isn't wide enough to completely cover the pages of large books or magazines. There remains some of the page overhanging on either edge which can get splashed whilst you are cooking
* There is only a small amount of leeway to adjust the angle of your cookbook. It isn't a problem for very small recipe books but for larger or taller books they can end up being displayed at an angle which makes you have to bend down to read the instructions
MY OVERALL CONCLUSION:
I have used this so many times that I don't know what I would do without it now. I can have my cookbook open on the correct page and keep it close to me whilst I am preparing a dish. For anyone who regularly uses recipe books or magazines in the kitchen this is definitely worth purchasing.
