This book is an excellent and attractively compact guide for Christians who want to be more aware of the religion of Islam and the Muslim way of living. The book gives an overview of the life of Muhammad and the beginnings of Islam. It shows what Muslims believe, including the Five Pillars of Islam, and how all this affects their lifestyle. 'This will help Christians to be able to understand and be able to relate more to Muslims. Indeed, there is a chapter which gives helpful pointers as to how Christians may share their own faith with Muslims, in a respectful way. 'This is a useful guidebook, which is profound, and yet so simple to understand. The book ends with a glossary of Islamic terms, and a biographical sketch of the life of Muhammad. I have found it to be very helpful, and I feel that it would be a very useful tool for Christians to have. It acts as a very good introduction to Islam, and may encourage further reading on the subject. It sidesteps some content out of brevity but if Christendom in Europe engaged with it's contents we would all be in a wiser, sensitive and more missional people. Very worthwhile

This is an excellent short book explaining the background of Islam, and how a christian should respond. readable and a great introduction, I have given several to friends interested in the issue....

Condensed, but that's why it's called a Pocket Guide...

Good overview and quick read on the subject. It is a great resource if you are just starting a study on Islam or if you need a quick review. Does not go into too much detail so that is where it is lacking but I think that was the purpose for writing this book.

Biased and unfair

I found this book to be very biased, and factually incorrect, especially the chapter on women. Some other topics were correct, but this degree of bias is inexcusable.
