The good thing about this cage is that it is BIG. However, if you have some extra cash, spring for a big cage of somewhat better quality.
The cage looks attractive; however, the metal is thin and arrived pretty banged up - and we had to use tape on the edges, which are lethally sharp. Also, the cage is terribly difficult to clean. The litter pan is very shallow, so there is no getting around a pretty big mess when you pull it out. The wood ladders are un-oiled and unfinished; I suspect this is going to be an issue in the future.
All this said - the merchant was fast. No complaints there; the cage arrived quickly. However, I would not really recommend this cage - not very well made, cheap metal, doesn't feel very substantial.

I found with this cage, it was perfect for a rat, possibly two. Was a bit of a hassle to build, may need more than one person to build it.
Wooden platforms for your rat to walk on. Which in my opinion is a bad move, especially since rats wee almost everywhere it starts to become a bit whiffy(smelly).
There is a a slidable tray at the bottom which is freed by the green flap you see in the picture. Speaking of which it isn't really that secure so you may want to cellotape the flap down, to stop any great escapes (especially if your rat is small). I also advise some sort of sheeting to go over your floor/carpet as the green flap also seems to leak out a lot of aspen/sawdust and little rat droppings.
All in all, a great cage. Design, overall okay but would have been better without wood. Holds together quite well, and my rat seems happy enough.

The cage is great, I have 3 large rats in there and they love it! The only downside is the flap right at the bottom to slide the trays in and out for cleaning - this could be more secure but its easy to work around. The delivery was fast and you get a free hammock which the rats love too. Great buy - worth every penny!
