Product Description

The outline of CCNA Cheat Sheet maps directly to the Cisco requirements for the routing and switching CCNA exam. This book provides sample questions that test your knowledge of the CCNA exam objectives using a question format similar to that used on the actual exam. This book provides questions and answers that simulate the actual test--considered a necessity by the network professionals who want to "cram" for a test that will be an important milestone in their career.

4.0 out of 5 stars CCNA 640-507 Cheat Sheet, 19 Dec 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: CCNA Routing and Switching (Cheat Sheet) (Paperback)
I took the exam after reading this book and attending the Cisco Network Academy Program. Passed the test first time. He is thorough and focused, uses chapter-end questions and cheat sheets to allow the reader to make mental and written notes. Read this book twice before sitting for the final CCNA exams. I read several other Cisco books prior to reading this one, including books by Todd Lammle - Exam Notes & Study Guide, and Exam Cram - Routing & Switching including the Practice Tests. I also read numerous CCNA study guides to help me become familiar with the subject, as I am new to networking thus reinforcing my understanding of the exam material. Each chapter and sub-chapters are divided by CCNA exam objectives.

If you're seeking your CCNA and have limited or no experience like myself you should read more than one book. After reading several books, I recommend this path to folks with limited experience who are pursuing the CCNA. I really like the way this book is put together. This is the best place to start your CCNA pursuit, and the only book I have found with the CCNA 640-507 test objectives.

5.0 out of 5 stars I passed first time :-), 19 Dec 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: CCNA Routing and Switching (Cheat Sheet) (Paperback)
An excellent summary of the CCNA syllabus. Well worth the money to bring all the key facts together before the exam. I have 10 months experience with mainly WAN routers and a few switches. This book helped to sharpen and focus my knowledge prior to the exam. Key facts are highlighted; there are practice questions at the end of each chapter and there's a Cheat Sheet after each section. Also a CD-ROM with plenty of practice questions. Well done, Joe Habraken. The only improvement I would see is the chapter questions and answers should be on separate pages, to save having to cover up the answer with a book mark while you think about the question. :-)

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book I was waiting for., 11 Nov 2000
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: CCNA Routing and Switching (Cheat Sheet) (Paperback)
I've still never laid hands on a router, so I had to do a great deal of reading to pass the CCNA exam. I had read some other Cisco books prior to reading this one, including books by Todd Lammle, Wendell Odom, and Exam Cram. I also read CISCO Academy books to help me become familiar with and understand the exam topics. Mr. Joe Harbraken's book did more than any of the others ; it's the one that really brought things together and each chapter and sub chapters are devided by CCNA exam objectives. The practice questions seemed easier than those in other books and may give a false sense of security if this is the only book you have read, but I think if you're seeking your CCNA and have limited or no experience you should read more than one book anyway. After reading several books, I recommend this path to folks with limited experience who are pursuing the CCNA.

I really like the way this book is put together - many thanks to Mr. Joe Harbraken. This is the best place to start your CCNA pursuit, and only book I found on the market with CCNA 640-507 test objectives in mind.

This cheat sheet was very easy to follow. Among the other items I've read this one gave me the best information to complete my project.

4.0 out of 5 stars Clear Cut CCNA!, 1 Dec 2000
By Larry Burg - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: CCNA Routing and Switching (Cheat Sheet) (Paperback)
I took the course, had no hands on router experience due to a poor school, had to self-teach the CCNA cirriculum to myself from the previous (retired) version's text. After failing the test one time, I bought CCNA for Dummies but it was scattered. Joe Habraken's another DC area boy who's striving for the I.T. rainbow and meets the Cisco criteria systematically, one item at a time. He is thorough, focused, uses chapter-end quizzes and "cheat sheets" to allow the reader to make mental and written notes. I think this in accompanyment with Todd Lammle's newest (507 v.2) book & Sybex CD-ROM will get me through this tough test successfully next week.
