ECB - December 1997

David 'Packie' Hamilton's story is a gripping, well written tale of someone who grew up in this climate of violence and strife. Bank robberies, hold-ups, fighting and killings became the order of the day. Yet in the midst of all the turmoil and violence there was an invisible guiding and protecting hand. More than once his life was inexplicably saved. His time in prison gave him the opportunity to reflect upon some of the systerious escapes that he had experienced. A rocky marriage and a growing sense of desolation drove David to search for a worthy cause to live for. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Product Description

Packie shows how fraught with danger quitting a terrorist group can be, especially where they're a category apart in prison (consider the H-blocks or Guantanamo). Yet, even in that dark place, God was waiting for David, whose story details his journey into a new life.

From the Publisher

An uplifting story for cynical Generation-X-ers. The issue of whether it's poosible to give up terrorism is the number one issue this time of peace talks. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

From the Back Cover

At 22 David Hamilton was actively involved with powerful forces of subversion. Being a Loyalist meant often knowing at first hand what was behind the news stories of a bomb here, a hold-up there - his own barrister told him that he was lucky only to get 11 years. Prison is different for terrorists: they have ways of putting pressure on their follows and gaolers. But God was waiting for him there too, and the story shows how it remains possible to break the infernal cycle of terrorist vendetta. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.
