Definite buy 8 Oct 2010
Fun:
purchased this item believing it wouldn't be incredibly great as such a small price tag compared to others ,but the steering wheel is fantastic, much larger than I believed it to be and phenomenal response to reactions and slight actions to the wheel.
Best wheel for ps3 for it's price and a definite buy if your the keen racer.

Cheap & Cheerfull 11 Jun 2010
Fun:
This Product dose what it says on the box. It has no Vibration or feedback movement. It dose have a lap belt that makes is able to sit on your lap, so you can use it if you have not got a table. The pedals use the X and square buttons, the PS3 reads the wheel as a controller so if you have any game that has the gas as R2 and brake as L2 you can not use the pedals unless the game lets you change the controlles. I am happy with the wheel I wanted a cheap wheel that I can sit on my lap and have a quick game with every so often.

It does work, but has serious flaws 3 Jan 2009
By Patrick Fewell - Published on Amazon.com
First of all, I have had no problems getting this wheel to work as it is evidently supposed to. The problems some are having with this might stem from the fact that the gas and brake pedals are designed in an odd way. The problem with these pedals is that when you press the gas it is the equivalent of pressing the x button on the controller. Since the gas is not usually placed on that button by default, the gas and brake pedals will not do what you are intending them to do, unless you can change the controller configuration to put the gas on the x button. The brake works in a similar way. The problem that results from this is that many assume that when you hold the gas pedal down farther, it will result in more power coming from the engine. The truth is that since the designers made it so that the gas pedal triggers the x button, the gas is either on or off. This is the reason why the gas is usually placed on the left or right trigger buttons that do have the ability to have more levels of power than on or off. Now I am not sure if there is a game that could actually work with this wheel to do more than just turn the gas on or off, but my guess is that you are probably stuck with out being able to use the gas pedal anything like a real one. One other problem comes from the fact that some driving games are not equipped to change the controller configuration enough to use this wheel properly. If you are playing a game that cannot radically alter its controller scheme, then you probably will be stuck using the gray triggers underneath the steering wheel to slow down and speed up. That is very inconvenient.

Another problem I have with this this product is that it has a small dead zone right when you start to either turn right or left. This has the effect that when you are in a section of road with more than just a gentle turn, you will have to do a good amount of correction to overcome the dead spot where it does not respond. Racing games require smooth subtle movements. This is especially true when the steering wheel is not designed with the 900 degrees of movement that other products have. The dead spot right in the middle is just enough to throw off the controls so that smooth steering is not possible. I am certain that this is not just a flaw with my unit.

This wheel is counterproductive. It does work at what it is designed to do. The build quality is such that I am sure that it will not break in the very little that I will possibly ever use it. A traditional controller will be much easier to use. I regret that the person who gave it to me for Christmas wasted her money.

Works ok, but it smells 11 May 2008
By Ahbaid Gaffoor - Published on Amazon.com
We needed to get two wheels, our family makes this into quite an event, so we figured let's try the Logitech GT wheel and the Madcatz wheel.

Out of the box the Logitech wheel felt better and with the force feedback it was even better.

The one thing Madcatz did well was provide a lap mount for the wheel, pretty neat idea but it still needs work.

The overall feel of the product I'd give 2 stars, it felt flimsy. The thing I really dislike was that the rubber they use for the wheel smells. It stinks, it really does.

Get the Logitech wheel, from the offset it works perfectly, I had to reboot the PS3 to get the Madcatz wheel to work, the Logitech wheel worked immediately.

Not great by any means 11 May 2009
By RoundTheTwist - Published on Amazon.com
Fun:
wheel itself feels solid and comfortable, also the included lap rest attachment is a nice bonus, that is all the positive.

On the bad side, the peddals are not compatible with all (or very many) games, which means you will have to use the gray "flaps" under the wheel for gas and braking, this is not very practicle and makes a mess out of trying to handle your vehicle.
Also the wheel I bought makes a 'snap" sound every time you turn it right(from dead center).
Bringing it back tomorrow for refund.
I was hoping for the best as I bought this set for 39.99 but even at that 1/2 price its just not worth it.
Too bad cause the wheel itself feels solid with nice resistance, but the lack of compatibility and the default use of flaps under wheel for gas and breaking really hinder this product.
