behind the cover of this book you will find the most inspiaring storie about a girl who has many worries and troubles when suddenly a teacher changes her life. you will love this book and recermend it to your friends. when i saw this book i found the name off putting but behind the cover was a brilliant story. before this i did'nt even like books but once you have read this you never stop reading again.

Like Judy Blume,Paula Danziger also writes excellent books for young people.'The Cat Ate My Gymsuit' may be a deceiving title for it has nothing to do with cats or gymsuits(the title IS taken from the story.)But don't let the title stop you from reading the excellent story inside.This book is great for kids who feel like they don't fit in & really need to identify with someone who has the same feelings.The story is about a teenage girl who's overweight & finally befriends a really nice teacher who's kind to her.Towards the end of the story,this nice teacher is banned from the school(I'm not giving it away,read the book.)Of course this bothers the teenage girl who then does what she can to help bring the teacher back into the school system.Does she have success?Find out when you read the book.If you're an adult(like myself) & want to read a book that reminds of you of how painful adoloscence was,how it felt to be misunderstood,the joy you had when you also once had a very nice teacher-read this book.
