CA ARCserve Backup for Windows Disk to Disk to Tape (D2D2T) Option delivers extended storage capabilities and control; it's easy to use and improves data integrity. It shrinks backup time by staging data to fast disk drives before it is automatically moved to tape. Restore requests are redirected to disks automatically reducing recovery time. The whole operation is policy driven, reducing cost and management overhead.This D2D2T option is designed with ease of use in mind. Existing processes and work flow do not have to be changed to take advantage of disk staging; existing procedures continue to work only much more effectively. Providing the flexibility to customize data protection strategies according to business needs, this highly automated option increases the success rate of restores, minimizes the need for IT staff intervention and reduces operating expenses.
