i had to write a review after purchasing this vax. i had the old school orange vax and had it for 12 years, it was fantastic. So i thought buy another vax and get that quality agian. so i looked at reviews, most said this one was excellent. I bought it, used it and it was amazing what came out of the carpet was quite a shock! 2 adults, 1 small boy, small dog,cat and small cottage. it was quite loud but suction great, very light and easy for stair use. i did find having to constantly empty it every 2 uses bit of a pain but used to it now. After 3 months it sounded like a rocket launching and had an awful rattling from the head. i put up with it for a while as i need my hoover but husband said it was ridiculous so rang customer services. The lady was really helpful listened to it, sent me new hoover head and a bag to return hoover. it was returned in a week with new filters. it works great again still bit noisy but i am so glad i got 6 yr parts warranty free with it as i think you will need it. The lead does not wind in completely now .So what i will say is nice machine but you may need to use warranty as not as strong as the old vax but i think that is like most things these days!!! Ps i have used friends Dysons and i personally would never buy one of those. I do think the customer service i had with vax was excellent and very fast, which is important.
overall does a great job but remember to empty often and wash fulters!
