great lock picking set, there is a nice wide selection of picks to tackle almost any lock, and the guys over at UB keys were extremely friendly and helpful to deal with. if your just starting out with lock picking, i would highly recommend this set.

This, like i say is the most worthwhile pick set avaliable in the UK today containing every kind of pick and tension wrench you'll need to overcome almost all pin-tumbler and wafer locks avaliable.

The bigger Slimline sets by southord (75pc + 37pc) contain no extra picks, only duplicate picks without metal handles which are weak and uncomfortable to use.
On the other side, the smaller Slimline sets by Southord (5pc - 15PC) don't contain enough variety of picks or tension tools required for the serious lockpicker or trading locksmith.

In comparison with the other pick sets i own including HPC, GOSO and KLOM, THESE ARE BY FAR THE BEST. The grade of the steel, the overall build quality and their operational effectiveness on european locks surpass all other manufacturers avaliable.

An invaluable piece of any locksmiths toolkit!

I bought this set in oct 2012, as a total beginner, and through the use of a lockpicking book which I also bought, a few old padlocks and euro locks, I started to get into the world of locks and picking them. I find this kit great for my hobby, and curiosity. It has even got me into my house when i was locked out. I have since lost my kit, but bought another one..

great

Always been interested in lock picking, and used to own a set of picks, which have gone missing. This is an excellent replacement, with a good quality range of picks, tension bars and a pair of tweezers. The accompanying booklet discusses various techniques to use, but only with lots of patient practice will you master the art.

Having bought a set of Southord picks some two decades ago and finding them a bit big for a lot of the locks I tried them on, I recently discovered that there were slimline sets available, designed for European locks which are apparently smaller than American locks.

These are a great set to use for the enthusiast picker - good range of tips, solid but light handles (the cheaper sets are just stamped out of a thin piece of steel - these have a steel handle which consists of two pieces of steel spot-welded either side of the blade) and a nice-smelling leather case.

Disclaimer: I use these tools for my interest in how things work - they are not used for anything illegal!

I'm a locksmith and usually use HPC picks I thought I would give these a try
Overall a decent set of picks not quite as strong as the HPC picks
But definitely better for restricted key ways plus a good collection off hook picks

The variety of picks and the leather case is fantastic! Its very good quality. The only critisism that I have is that the tools would bend quite easily after picking a few locks and I would have to bend them back to shape. Whether this has something to do with the fact that they are 'slimline', I dont know, but it can get quite frustrating. Ive ordered a different set of picks from goso, so I can compare. It would also be good to find out if the handles make a difference as I found the slimline set were cutting into my hand making it uncomfortable.
Apart from that though, ive successfully picked every lock I could get my hands on and even a six security pin practice lock I invested in online, so the set proves itself worthy in my books! Hope this review helps some people...
