I've just received and fitted the co-rider child seat to my town bike. It's an excellent product, pricey compared to a rear seat, but there's nothing else out there like it and it's a well engineered piece of kit.
The product arrived in four days from order, well packaged and with good instructions. The company also has a video guide on the site which is worth a look if you're considering the purchase.
Fitting took me 20 minutes.
It's an all metal construction, heavy gauge sheet steel, with high quality bolts, and a well moulded foam seat for the child. It arrives fully built, and nuts are all welded on so you don't get a bag full of stuff to sort through. There's even a good quality hex key and spare bolts provided.
My very critical three year old daughter loved the first test ride, and this afternoon we're off to buy a bell for the small handlebar set that bolts onto the main bike bars.
Good, well designed, and robust. No problem in giving this five stars.

Have just been out for first ride on the Co-Rider with my 2yr old. She and I both absolutely love it. It was very easy to fit, with clear instructions, and feels far more solid than the rear-mounted seat I used before. Very easy getting child in and out of the seat, and she feels very stable when clipped in. The front-mounted position is excellent - the child is nestled between your arms and her head is almost directly beneath my chin, which feels very natural and safe, and makes it very easy to chat away about what we're seeing as we go along, and to reassure her when she was getting a bit cold/ tired. She loved having her own handlebars to hold onto, and clearly enjoyed the feeling that she was riding the bike herself. All the stuff on their website about it not affecting the balance of the bike etc. is actually true - the ride was very natural. Unlike the criticisms I've seen for other front-mounted seats, there was no need to ride bow-legged - my knees just touched her legs at the top of each turn, but not enough to bother either of us at all.
It's definitely a seat for toddlers rather than babies - the manufacturers even say you shouldn't let the child fall asleep at all, so maybe not that practical for a long trip, but far more enjoyable for an inquisitive youngster than being sat low down in a trailer or staring at your back.
As with other reviews, there was a delay in shipping, but this was because they were out of stock after Christmas - the email communications were accurate and responded to swiftly. Having read the previous reviews, I was expecting slow service, so was pleasantly surprised.

I agree with all of the points of the previous review. The seat is well made and was fitted easily to my mountain bike, they also get credit for supplying spare bolts allen keys. It is very easy to use with my 4YO daughter and feels very safe. The only very minor gripe is that there is no rubber padding on the handle bar extensions which could have caused them to scatch my painted handle bars (fixed with some vinyl tape). My biggest issue (which loses them a star) is that it took a month to arrive, two weeks of that delay was caused by Amazon but it still took another two weeks for them to get the seat to me after they had been alerted.

I was pretty impressed that the seat arrived within a week from ordering (I'm in Australia). It took less than 30 mins to install, although I did you tube the instructions for a better visual!
My three year old son loves riding it, he talks non-stop about everything he sees which is not something he did in a bike trailer (or if he did, I couldn't hear him), and he can point things out too as well.
I'm only 5'5'' so I was a bit worried about being able to see over the top of his head with the bike helmet on, however he doesn't even reach my chin, so I'm confident that I'll get the full two years of use out of it. And my knees don't touch him either!
Having him on the bike makes no difference to how it feels to ride my bike, which considering there is an extra 16+kg riding with me is great. And I feel a lot more secure and in control having him in front of me than behind or in a trailer.
Overall I think this is a great product and certainly for me and my son, the one that is the most suited.

I also purchased the co-rider and I can vouch for all of the praise in gets in this review - it is a very good bike seat.
However I did have an extremely frustrating time purchasing it. My order took over three weeks to be dispatched. This is well beyond what anyone would reasonably expect to wait. All up from order to delivery was over a month. I rang co-rider a number of times and each time was promised it would ship in the next couple of days, which it didn't. They also recorded my delivery address incorrectly so it was only due to me checking it on one of the phone calls that this was corrected prior to shipping. They also said they would mail me the tracking number as soon as it shipped, and only did so a few days after it shipped.
While I value a quality product, I also value good, honest customer service. I have no doubt that co-rider knew my order would be delayed. If they had simply told me this up front I would have been happy. They did not need to lie about it.
