Sturdy metal build, suitable for my canon hf200 or a dslr.should firt my light nicely. Only thing I would suggest is that they make the middle thread a little longer so you have the choice of positioning the camera in two places. Takes a little tweaking to get the arms in the correct place after tightening and placing on the mount. Bargain price for what you are recieving, I am now looking to see if I can get another shoe mount to attach to the c shape, via a standard thread. Good stuff
