The head of the lab is no-nonsense First Grade Detective Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise), taking a scientist's eye to crime, Mac believes that everything is connected no matter how big or small. Originally from Chicago, his military background fast-tracked him through the force, leading him, ultimately to the crime lab. Mac's trusted second in command Second Grade Detective Stella Bonasera (Melina Kanakaredes) her half Greek, half Italian heritage is New York through and through. A tough uncompromising officer, Bonasera is a match for anyone in and outside the lab. Joining Taylor and Bonasera are Third Grade Detective Danny Messer (Carmine Giovinazzo) and Third Grade Detective Aiden Burn (Vanessa Ferlito), both tough young officers completely dedicated to Mac and their work.
This release features the second half of the third season.

Best season finale by far - SNOW DAY!!!
Gripping series all the way through topped off by an incredible finale, you won't be able to look away!
Love Gary (mac) and Melina (stella), hope they get together some day on the show cause their friendship is amazing!!! especially in series 5, grounds for deception :)

My eldest has a thing for the CSI's (all of them),She has seen them on the t.v. but had to have them. best money we've spent, keeps her entertained during the school holidays.These are a brilliant watch for any budding crime solver

Likewise the other two CSI Miami and the original CSI [Las Vegas] the CSI NY team is always guaranteed to provide a great programme on TV and to relive the event on DVD is equally great. My favourite is always Miami, but Gary Sinise and Co come a close second in the scheme of things and never disappoint the audience. Fast moving action throughout and thought provoking clues along the way add up to intrigue and a surprising outcome as more crimes are solved.

csi new york seems to be getting better and better. Was real mad fan of the original CSI but have decided that New York is the best
