This book is the best written course book on C I read in years. It has a very clear writing style with a lot of good examples where the code of interest is highlighted. That makes it clear what in the example code is important concerning the subject you are reading about. My congratulations to the Deitel team, it's a very well written book that every novice C student should have and READ.

I have had this book for 2 years now yes you are wondering why but i kept it as an ornament in my room in the first year while i was studying C. But this year i have decided to put the book to use i realised that the book is so good you really do not need anything else.

If you have just started to learn C and have done Pascal or modula-2, you will find this a great book. If you are familiar with C, the 2nd half of the book might still usefull for you.
