No it's not a Ferrari (MB 450 SEL 6.9) and the soundtrack is dubbed on. Several people also say that the footage has been slightly accelerated. It does not matter - the early morning 8.5 minute drive through the waking Paris is one of the most exhilirating footages ever available on film.
The standard tricks of the trade such as munting the camera very low to increase the perceived speed have been used to good effect and the slight detours around the less than predictable, even if light early morning traffic add a dose of gritty realism, while the sound from the heartbeat at the start till the end is simply music to a car lover's ears.
I have first seen the movie after it has already been re-released on DVD, so I might not necessarily feel the same sort of pleasure as people, who were paying massive amounts for bootlegged VHSs did in the past but this is still 9 minutes one can gladly spend again and again.
