Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

ByteStor Secure Digital cards are manufactured to the highest standards using high quality components to ensure compatibility and reliability. A Hi-Speed SD card will maximise the potential of the latest digital devices. Can be use in any SD Compliant device

A Hi-Speed card is essential for high-mega pixel cameras. Spend less time waiting between shots, especially in fast moving scenes such as sport. Take longer movies at a higher quality, for smooth playback on your camcorder or digital camera. Read and save data faster on your PDA perfect for large applications.

Since the ByteStor Hi-Speed card is produced with industry standard technology compatibility and usage issues are dramatically reduced.

Shoot more pictures on holiday where downloading may be impractical. (If your memory card becomes full on holiday, you cannot re-use the card without downloading the current images first).

Capture more hi-resolution images. (Taking pictures on the highest setting will give you the option for larger prints compared to the normal or basic setting).

Take more multiple shots and select the best ones when practical. (It can sometimes be difficult and time consuming to delete unwanted shots from your camera on the move).

Spreading images across two or more cards in case a card is lost on holiday.

Save more data, games and images with your picture mobile phone

Carry a wider selection of music (at higher quality) for your MP3 player.

Value for money 18 Nov 2004
    By A Customer
1GB of memory for under £80.Was slightly concerned that I would have problems as i had never heard of ByteStor before ,but my friend had been using his card for months without any problems so i decided to buy it.It arrived next day !!! and works like a dream. This card is easily the best buy i have made from Amazon and i would recommend this brand to anyone.I have seen 1gb high speed cards in the shops for £250.00 and that was on a Lexar 32x card, this card is 66x speed and is a fraction of the price.

I bought two of these cards - one worked fine but the other gave errors when I copied more than about 300MB to it. I got that replaced my Amazon and the replacement is fine. Given that other people seem to have had problems with this card I suspect that ByteStore's quality checks could be improved.

I have also been unable to use this card with The Bug DAB Digital Radio - the ByteStore 512MB card works fine so it is possible that this is a problem with the radio rather than the card.

Both cards work find with my Pentax S4i, iPaq 4150 and HP PC.

    I agree with Coblers! 17 Dec 2006
    By Hatters
I, too, purchased this card along with my new digital camera wanting to believe the good reviews that it was given on the site. I was especially encouraged by the professional photographer. Unfortunately, i was extremely disappointed. It lasted less than 10 minutes, and about 15 shots into my camera before the whole thing seized up and became unreadable. Fortunately, at this point, I had not departed for my holidays. Unfortunately, I ended up buying a brand that I knew from the high street and paying full whack for it. Don't waste your time or money with one of these, go for one of the premium brand cards from the Amazon site.

    Completely unreliable
This card worked for my first 300 or so photos but then decided to give up the ghost. It became incredibly unreliable and only luck would dictate whether the camera would read it. Read more

    Flawless, so far.
I chose to purchase this 1GB SD card with some misgivings, knowing it is cheaper than some of the better known brands and has gathered one or two less-than-perfect reviews. Read more
