Amazon Verified Purchase
I bought this instead of the cruzer blade 16gb usb drive due to the cruzer having slower real time read and write speed. (There may be better ones now)
The drive works well with transfer speeds of 10 to 15 mb/s sec write and 30mb/s read. I am using a macbook o/s and windows 7 desktop.
The speeds are fairly good but the build quality is poor its just a plastic shell. So if you are thinking of carrying this about in your pocket with keys and such, you should forget it as the usb will be in bits before you know it. I use this at home for machines not networked together and need data transfer. Or to store back up applications etc..
I would get this for home use, but if you are carrying it outside or quite rough with your tech stuff I recommend looking elsewhere.
update 130311: The drive does not register in some usb ports and has to be jiggled about to get it to register.

I just recieved and tested the drive ByteStor 16GB USB High Speed "Dataferry" Flash Drive using one of the programs I found on the link (http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/5-lightweight-tools-to-check-the-speed-of-your-usb-flash-drive-windows/) and found the speeds as below
Read : 24.92 MB/s

Bought this to add to my collection of flash drives. Until now I thought all pen drives were slow as I own a multitude of them i.e kingston, maxell and san disk. Just took it as the norm. This baby takes just around 60 seconds to transfer 150 mp3 music files, and my others well over 5 minutes, I placed around 25 albums in about 10 mins. Took longer to find them. All in all I highly recommend this. buy with confidence.

Won't last long
