This is DDR PC3200 400MHz RAM, so check your system for compatibility!! If you open your PC and your RAM has two notches in it, you're looking for SDRAM - this RAM is not compatible.
This RAM is DDR and has one notch - and if you've bought a PC within the last year or so, its probably PC3200. If you've got a dual channel RAM system you'll get the best out of it if you fill the matching slots with the same quantity of RAM, but you don't need to buy two RAMs.
Fitting the RAM is child's play - literally. If you've ever inserted a Game Boy game into a Game Boy, then you can do this, just find the RAM slot, open the clips on the side, push the RAM in and close the clips.
You'll need an anti-static wrist strap, so as not to damage the RAM, if, at your own risk, you don't wear a strap - DO NOT TOUCH THE BLACK CHIPS ON THE RAM!!! You'll damage it.
Overall, this is RAM. You slot it in and turn the PC on - that's it - no changing BIOS settings or anything else. It speeds up the PC enormously and is the cheapest way of upgrading your system. I've had no problems with Bytestor in the past and if I need more, I'll be buying Bytestor again.
