I bought this as an alternative to a new computer and was dreading fitting it. The simple fitting took 2 minutes. The increase in performance was staggering, when compared 256MB, particularly when using the Internet. Well worth 30 quid and 5 stars.

I was thinking about buying a new desktop PC because my old one was very slow but thought I'd take a gamble and try upgrading the memory in it first.
I bought this item on free super saver delivery (thanks Amazon!) and it arrived in 2 business days which was a pleasant surprise.
Also a doddle to fit, just put it in the slot and it was instantly recognised on boot up. The increase in speed is amazing. It's turned a practically useless PC into a perfectly useable home computer. Well worth £16.99 and much better than spending £400+ on a new PC!

My old Mesh 2100+ AMD athlon 256 mb desktop running XP home was taking 10 minutes to boot up and was virtually unusable as the programs were so slow.
I bought the bytestore 1gb, was a doddle to fit and whoosh!!!!!!!!!!! off it went.
Now boots up in under 3 minutes and logs off in 30 seconds. I have a dual core laptop that is quite new and the old machine is almost as fast now.
Well worth £16.99.
