Excellent speed!,

This review is from: ByteStor 1GB Hi-Speed CompactFlash(40x) (Accessory)
My Canon EOS350D would take 14 continuous shots at 3fps with my old 256M Viking CF, then spend ages writing them. With this Bytestor card, it will shoot continuously - the card can keep up with writing best quality Jpegs (around 3.5Mb a pop) at the full 3fps the camera can shoot at. I got 70 shots in one go before getting bored trying to find the limit! Excellent bit of kit - highly recommended.

Speed limited only by your camera!,

I bought this to replace a standard-speed (8-12x?) Viking 512Mb card for use with my Canon EOS300D. The write times on the Bytestor seem perhaps 20% faster than the Viking in this camera - not as fast as you might expect just from the card speed ratings, but as I understand it the limitation is the camera's transfer rate, so one would see a lot more benefit in a newer DSLR. I think it's worth having a card that is a bit "futureproof", and this is a very good price indeed, but just worth being aware the write speed you achieve may in practice be limited by your camera.Incidentally, first card was DOA but Amazon exchange was quick and painless.

Good results with this,

Bought the Bytestor 1Gb hi speed Compactflash card for use with a Fujifilm S7000. Main selling point was the speed, and that I expect a solid state device like this to be more reliable than a microdrive. Amazon price very good at less than 100 ukp, and of course Amazon use Royal Mail (much better than 'courier' companies in my experience). Results so far have been excellent. Card is fast and reliable - pretty much exactly what you need from storage media that might hold your entire set of holiday pictures! Recommended.
