Why change a winning formula - bought 5 of these cards up to now - all been ok showing FAT32 capacity 16,030,597,120 bytes free and showing a healthy Sequential Write speed of over 10MB/s using CrystalDiskMark 3.0.

This latest one barely meets Class 4 standard and short changes you on capacity - interesting that it is branded Toshiba on the back - the others were not branded but still had "Made in Japan" on them.

This one only has a FAT32 capacity 15,472,787,456 bytes. For 16GB it should be greater than 16,000,000,000 bytes according to Industry norms. Also Sequential Write speed at 4MB/s using CrystalDiskMark 3.0 just barely meets Class 4 standard.

Not recommended.

Large, basic card 16 May 2011
Have had this card about a month so far and it has performed well. I generally use it as portable storage for my netbook, particularly as I can download several videos onto the card for playback later on my break while working nights.

This card is rated as a class 4 product, which means a minimum of 4MB/sec write speed. I can't claim to have tested that, but when transfering data on a Windows machine the data transfer rate generally fluctuates between about 3.8-5.5MB/sec, depending on what's being transfered. For a camera, particularly newer ones with high megapixel sensors, HD recording or RAW file output, this speed may not cut it, but for the purpose of simple data storage this is more than adequate for me (I simply drag and drop and go and do something else as the data is transfered). Good value for a large, basic SDHC card.

I bought this memory card as a low cost item to pop into a Wii. I recently bought a new compact digital camera and moved it into that instead. In the movie mode, it works absolutely fine so thats where it's staying. I did wonder because it is a class 4 card, if it would be fast enough and it is. I have now bought a smaller Bytestor card for the Wii because I find they do the job at a great price.
