I had to purchase a Version upgrade, only £12 but that was mainly down to my seller who refused to reply to my emails and phone calls.
Also the cable supplied with the controller is only about 1meter long, however if the controller is too close to your wireless router or cordless phone the controller may not work properly. So I had to buy a longer cable...
...however now I have the upgrade and the longer cable, and the on-line subscription for the enhanced features, this product works great does exactly what I wanted. I would recommend the item just be a bit more prepared than me.

The first one of these I tried to buy never turned up from Amazon, the second was not really worth the wait either.
When it works, this item can be a useful toy. If you intend to use with home automation, eg Harmony then again, useful.
BUT > If you intend to try and use with the ByeBye Standby website forget it ! The website is unreliable - it goes off line for periods with no explaination and even having sent a series of emails sent to the support team, there is no fix in sight. You can still use the remotes and send commands direct from your own app, but hardly the point when this is supposed to be an internet enabled device. I have not tried the Premium services, but if the free website is anything to go by then I'd be surprised if it works.
I'm regretting the purchase.
