It is simply a pleasure to listen to this album. Ben's progamming and mixing is sublime. Deep electronic house, whispered words, spoken soundscapes and tech house..wonderful... I can't really pick a stand out track because they all work so well together. The Buzzin Fly sound is so fresh when compared to other house albums. Don't wait buy this album and the other two earlier CDs and add some quality deepness to your CD collection - take my word for it....this should be your soundtrack to another long hot summer....

It's difficult really to sum up what Ben Watt does nowadays. Having taken on a thoroughly Germanic influence in the last two years, with Buzzin' Fly's output now resembling something like Steve Bug's Dessous imprint rather than the organic, sweet-toothed deep bossa-house it started with, Watt is just about the only one of the millions to have done so who still has something of an identity. The jazz may be (mostly) gone, but his preference for hitting your head and your heart over your ass has remained.

What we're left with, then, is probably the best straight house mix for years. The tunes are good enough alone - from techier oddballs like Fairmont's "Gazebo" to borderline prog house ("I Love Deep"). All the elements come together in Watt's own production, 'Attack Attack Attack', which is simply fantastic, with old school deep rhodes keys and a thoroughly analogue bassline. The whole thing is knit together by Watt's great mixing and, crucially, liberal use of odd little spoken word extracts written by the man himself. Two or three different voices appear and reappear - all the tracks proper are instrumentals barring Attack - and sort of meet up at the end. The abiding mood is a sort of summery melancholy, which is a refreshing change from the typical "MOVE YOUR BODY! OH YEAAAAAH! ALL NIGHT LONG!" stuff you normally get in dance music.

Basically, it's magic. a house mix that dares to be more than a throwaway recap of the last 15 bootyshakers. I already oughta break your legs for not having bought it yet, so hop to it.

Fantastic groove house compilation by EBTG's Benn Watt in DJ mode. A timeless masterpiece IMO. I have listened to this over the years from when it came out until now and never tired of it. That's the highest praise I can give.
