Rumours have been rife amongst TV industry sources for some time, but today it can be confirmed that Buzz, the enigmatic and debonair host of Buzz: The Music Quiz has signed a new contract with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE).
Buzz will be fronting a new game show called Buzz!: The BIG Quiz which builds on the huge success of his famous music show as it seeks to push contestants to the limit. This time the questions could be on anything, with picture, audio and video clips covering subjects from film and sport through to music and Buzz's own brand of crazy general knowledge. And of course there'll be plenty of questions about Buzz's celebrity friends!
The host himself did his best to hide his excitement when our interviewer cornered him. He modestly commented: "After the success of my groundbreaking new format show Buzz!: The Music Quiz, I knew that SCEE would soon be back knocking at my door. I have of course had other offers but am delighted to stay with my friends at SCEE... of course this is about more than money, it's about giving full flow to my creative genius!"
The new series extends the format of Buzz's first show and cranks up the tension by giving contestants more chances to steal points from each another... so make sure you watch your back in new rounds like 'Hitman', as well as returning favourites like 'Pass the Bomb'. Buzz's new studio also has room for up to eight players, so contestants from Buzz!: The Music Quiz can enjoy the ultimate Quiz show experience!

We have had so much fun with this game - it's great to be able to play with up to 8 people - subject to you having the extra buzzers. Any ideas how I can nobble my smart alic Brother in law so I can actually win ! !
Would recommend - partys, pizza with friends FAB !

the Buzz series of games is one which is based around fun. Yes it may be more of a party game, but when you play it with more players, the fun levels just raise. There are simply loads of questions, some which appear more often than others. The buzzers supplied with it are simply genius, 5 simple buttons on a small controller. If you never really liked using the playstation 2 controllers then these make a welcome change. The Big quiz covers all subjects from sport and music, to general knowledge. You will know the answers to some questions but not others. However, as with anything (except finding £1 million) this has downsides. The single player game doesn't make sense. the 'quizmaster' mode also has not been executed successfully. But, you won't be using these modes much as it is fun replaying the quiz over and over as the thousands of questions are selected at random and when they do show up again the order the answers appear is also random. Meaning you don't press the same button to answer one particular question. the numerous rounds are varied, with colourful characters and tons of questions meaning i give this a 5 for fun but a 4 overall. yes it's fun in multiplayer, but the other game modes are best avoided.

This is possibly one of the best games i've played on the Playstation 2. I enjoy alll the various rounds and the types of questions that get fired at you, this is a truly superb multiplayer game!!
The only downsides are that Buzz himself gets on my nerves a bit and playing on your own isn't as much fun. I REALLY recommend this game for it's gameplay and variety.
