Are you a dummy? I'm not. I really dont get the title I'm afraid.
However that apart someone has taken the trouble to set out a decent manual of buying a property in Spain.
And if you want to be comfortable in your new home then consider building your own. It needn't be expensive, it can certainly be simple, and you get exactly what you want rather than something someone else has designed. Look at my profile for more on this.

Be careful buying this used! I am an American who ended up with a British edition of this book that spends a lot of time talking about British laws and how to collect your UK pension from Spain. OOPS!
