Product Description

Review

In-depth and honest, Hampshire provides all the necessary information for the administration and the experience of purchasing in France. --French Magazine

Hampshire's inimitable, easy style demystifies much of the confusion surrounding what is largely unknown for prospective home buyers. Indispensable in allowing readers to further their research. --Living France Magazine

Hampshire writes with a humour that makes a more entertaining read than the average home-buying guide, but he packs in the information, too. --Everything France

Format: Paperback
This book provides a straight-forward and easy to read guide to the pros and cons of buying a property in France. All of the information is available for free on the internet, but this is a lot easier way of finding it!
Some of the sections could do with being written in greater depth. However, each offers a broad range of information which can then be used as a basis for further reasearch.
The book is well laid-out in logical sections and has a number of useful appendices.
Buy this book before you consider others.

Excellent Book on Living in France 3 Dec 2014

I"m planning to move to France ASAP and I have several other books on the subject but I find that this book is filled with details that the other books lack although they're all very interesting and informative. Very well written and I wish Hampshire
would write a newer version of this excellent book.

Ordered this so I can escape the clutches of the US and move to a more civilized place in the world. A summer in Normandy completely changed my outlook on life.
