Altogether - I'm happy with this purchase.
This book is small and, being so, it's presentation of each movement has to be displayed over a turn-of-the-page - which is a little frustrating and awkward, when a newcomer is practising the moves, and has to stop mid-flow to turn over!
That said, I find the descriptions and illustrations adequate and clear, as these moves are not complicated. The large part of the book is dedicated to a series of moves which can be done as a "set" by any beginner/unfit person quite easily, or can be done individually - it's up to yourself to choose. At the correct (slow) speed of movement, the whole lot (with repeats) takes about 10 - 15 minutes, and can be done in a space large enough for you to stand comfortably in, while having a bit of leeway to stretch your arms. The feet stay on the ground for all-but-one of the basic exercises, and a bit of bending is required for only one, and for a beginner, the degree of that can be increased gradually - or the exercise skipped.
At the back of the book is a small section of advanced exercises one of which again requires standing on one foot, while the other leg and both arms do their own things! I'll keep that for later (possibly much later!). Once again -it's the users choice, the other exercises can be used, instead.
I've been doing a few Tai Chi exercises daily for years now, and find it a gentle, refreshing kind of exercise, which I feel a benefit from. This form of exercise can be done by a range of people, regardless of age or fitness, and all will feel benefit from just having a bit of a stretch of the muscles ... or, you can take it further - and much further, if you choose.
For the price - I'd say this little book is very worthwhile.
