Product Description
Out of work and unlucky in love, nothing seems to be going right in butch lesbian Jamie Klein's so-called life. A struggling actress, the daily grind of fruitless auditions is made more unbearable by her roommate's pet cat, Howard. To Jamie's annoyance, Howard is a famous feline that gets cast in big movie roles and money-spinning TV commercials, and is praised by everyone as having a talent for acting! An envious Jamie decides to take action and give herself a make-over, to prove to everyone that she can be more successful than a stupid cat. At long last, Jamie is finally cast in a lead role - as a man! Keeping schtum, she reluctantly accepts the role, only to fall head over heels for her on-screen love interest, Jill. What ensues is a hilariously complicated and sexy affair where Jamie must do whatever it takes to get the girl - and out-act the cat!

This is wonderful. I must have wet myself laughing so much. Jamie is an out of work actress who can't get a role because she's too butch. Even her flatmate's cat, Howard is getting more acting parts than Jamie. One day she gets offered the role to play Steve, which she accepts but she's not allowed to reveal her true identity. So butch Jamie is now Steve, and falls in love with a straight woman call Jill. They begin an affair that is truly hilarious... and sexy. The star of this film has to be Howard the cat!!!! I love this film, an irrelevant comedy looking at gender roles with a wit....

i saw this at the london lesbian and gay film festival last year, god it was so funny. i had no idea what to expect, went along with some friends, it turned out to be a genuine surprise... laugh-o-minute!!!

Have to say, it started out a little bit slow, and the movie screams of low budget but that's kind of expected from a low budget film. Wish the make-up department have found a more convincing pair of sideburns for Jamie though. I did enjoy the movie. The girl who played Jamie has great facial mimics. Enjoyable movie.
