Product Description

Book Description

Much-treasured artist, musician and TV personality, Rolf Harris, recalls his childhood through his relationship with his lovable dog Buster Fleabags.

Product Description

'His name was Buster Fleabags. He was my dog, and I was his human.'

Of all the animals who have played such an important part of Rolf Harris's life, he loved Buster Fleabags most.

The happiest times of Rolf's boyhood in Western Australia were spent with this bouncy little mongrel with the stuck-up ears and the curly tail. Buster swam for hours with Rolf in the river, rode in the basket on the front of his bicycle, and joined in his games.

Boy and dog were so devoted to each other that when Buster caught the dreaded disease distemper, Rolf slept in the kennel with him as he slowly nursed him back to health.

Buster Fleabags was as much of a character - and a bundle of energy - as his owner, and this is the story of a very special dog.

Buster fleabags 27 April 2010
Format:Paperback
An excellent quick read, with a slightly sad ending. This book has really opened my eyes regarding the character, Rolf Harris. I have always enjoyed this man as a painter and musicion, but I never understood his passion for animals, with the TV productions of the PDSA, RSPCA and Harmswort Hospital. Reading this book was a true revelation of the heart of the man.

lovely quick read book 21 April 2010
Format:Paperback
A very good book, as I am not one for reading this quick read was great it was a bit sad at the end but I loved the way the stories where written, pity not many more books like this. I would recommend to any dog lover I would be surprised if who ever reads it does not shed a tear or two.
