This outstanding Business Studies textbook has been updated to ensure that it continues to meet the exact requirements of all A Level Business Studies students. It is simply the best Business Studies textbook on the market. Two colour and extensively illustrated with lively new photographs and images, the book follows a clear and coherent structure, with key terms highlighted throughout. It is accompanied by the "Business Studies Teacher's Book" (ISBN). Key features of each unit are: In Business: over 170 updated mini case studies, taken from today's business world; Issues for Analysis emphasise the key issues raised in each unit; and, An Evaluation summarises each unit, placing it in the context of Business Studies. The Workbook at the end of each unit provides AS and A level student tasks, showing exactly what level the student should be working to. The Workbook includes updated data response and case study questions, for use as homework or classroom exercises.

This book by Ian Marcouse has identified a growing need for text books about business studies to be all-encompassing. To cover most if not all identifiable areas of the subject at A Level on its own is a worthy achievement, but this book does so much more than simply present a multitude of facts and expect students to digest these in a half-hearted frenzy the day before the exam. It describes the information in terms of the world of business now, how this may change in the future and whether this would be advantageous or disadvantageous to the business world. Excellent diagrams, graphs, illustrations and the general layout of the book are also superb as they allow the student to dip in and out / learn little by little without placing too much stress on understanding of long passages. This book is not only for students, and has a lot to offer also to those simply wanting a quick reference or an introduction to more advanced business strategies and process. Perhaps the only drawback that I can place with this book is its enormous size which makes it perhaps more suited to keeping at home rather than carrying to school/ college/ work. Despite this it is well worth the asking price.

I found this book very useful when I was doing Business Studies at A-Level as it has a great amount of detail for both AS and A2 level.

The only problem is, is that the book is very large and very detailed, but all I did was look in the index for a particular topic, and I managed.

A very useful part of the book, are the vast amounts of detailed quick revision and essay style questions included, which help greatly when preparing for exams.

I found this the one of the most useful Business studies books during my course, because the revision guides only give quick, shortened guides which can often miss information out that can help your understanding of the subject.

For another useful, but less-detailed book try the green 'A2 Business Studies' by Andrew Gillespie.

Brilliant Book 21 Nov 2007
This Book is absolutely essential for anybody studying Business A-Level.I am studying Marketing at University and at this level it still comes in handy atleast for the basic stuff.(when you need a little refresher) Its not one of those books you throw/give/sell away when youv'e finished.
I was also taught by Ian Marcouse - he DOES know his stuff! Good Book.
